Angel Scouts (Tk/K)

Our TK/K classroom is made more relatable and meaningful to our students, so they can engage and actively participate in their own education. We have found ways for our students to take charge and boldly claim their future as well-meaning contributors of society. We co-labor with our students to influence their ability to communicate fluently and retain what they are learning. Students do not determine the content of their educational process, but as we co-labor with them, we include their ideas and co-create curriculum in an emergent style. Including students in generating their own education, strengthens their relationship and how adaptable they are in their world.

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy turns our students that are brimming with self-confidence, multiple competencies and a strong purpose. Our students are well spoken with an ability to problem solve and manage behaviors independently. Our students break performance barriers because they are connected to what they are learning.

Comprehensive Assessments

We do not use grades to measure our students progress. We use comprehensive assessments and appraisals to document how our students are comprehending in all areas of their education and how their progress may translate later in their life. We believe education that begins with standards, mandates and predetermined lesson plans, with no room for the students input, loses the heartbeat and pulse of the students interest.

A Standards Only Approach

Intelligence is not measured by a grade point average. There are different forms and types of intelligence and each serve an important purpose and contribution. We present education without the stressors of standards. Our students choose to learn, instead of feeling forced. This methodology gives impetus to their entrepreneurial spirit and their autonomy and leadership is enlivened and reaffirmed.

Colorful conversations

There is never a lack of colorful conversations, creativity and mind- blowing academic growth and development. As our students grow out into the world, their experience grows deeper and connections become more meaningful. At this age, our students are able to practically and comprehensively demonstrate a lot of what they are learning as more independent students. Their inquiry and application have began to deepen and expand. Their conversations, reasoning and creativity is blossoming at a striking rate.

Intellect springs forth

The intellect of our students springs naturally and organically from their interests and curiosities. There is no need for an artificial structure, only a need for us to help our students navigate, grasp and integrate the special parts of their learning, into a more genuine source of the meaningful whole.

The Great Inquirers

Not only are our students "Great Minds" and "Amazing Artists," they are the "Great Inquirers." We research everything together, we are fact - finding animals, with the spirit and drive to discover the unknown. This sets our classroom up to be full of all kinds of invention, imagination and investigation. Our classroom is on a daily treasure hunt for the delightful gems of knowledge.
